Downright Austin, A Renaissance Hotel

Our stay was unfortunately very short so we weren't able to enjoy all the amenities. The room has a vintage-moody feel. My only complaint was maybe some brighter lighting especially in the restroom. Every employee we encountered went above and beyond for us. Special shoutout to Brookyln from valet and Cesar the bell person who were very attentive and made sure to give our pet extra love and attention.

This hotel was amazing! It was very clean and well decorated. The Swim Club had amazing drinks and the Terrance grill had amazing fresh food! Mike and Dom at the valet were very accommodating and quick!

I had an outstanding experience with the valet attendant Mikey. From the moment I arrived, he was professional, courteous, and incredibly helpful. He greeted me with a smile, handled my vehicle with care, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was his attention to detail and genuine kindness. Mikey went above and beyond to assist me, answered my questions, and made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. It’s rare to come across someone who takes so much pride in their work, and it truly made a positive impression on my visit. Excellent service like this deserves recognition. I sincerely appreciate his hard work and hope management knows what a great representative he is for their business.

I had a great stay at Downright Austin! The hotel has such a fun, vibrant energy that perfectly fits Austin. The design feels fresh and welcoming, and the overall vibe makes it a place I’d definitely return to. A special shoutout to Mikey and Brooklyn at valet. They were absolutely wonderful while I waited for my Uber to head to the airport. After a long trip, those last few moments can really shape your experience, and they made it such a positive one. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. It’s little touches like that which make a stay memorable. Highly recommend!

The room is just ok but the service was so good. I mean great. Almost everyone was well trained to be helpful but Damien and Cesar are outstanding. The guy too outside but failed to get his name

Dearest Gentle Reader, A most delightful stay was recently had at the Downright Hotel in Austin, Texas. One might say the evening’s events rivaled even the most scandalous of society gatherings… though in this case, the affair involved a rather electrifying appearance by the incomparable Cardi B. My dear companion and I arrived with spirits high, only to be greeted by the ever-charming Mikey at valet, whose warmth and kindness set the tone for the entire stay. A true gentleman of hospitality, if ever there was one. Inside, the hotel revealed itself to be quite the visual delight. The décor was stylish, vibrant, and positively begging to be admired—every corner felt thoughtfully designed and worthy of a moment’s pause. And the location? Simply unmatched. One could hardly imagine a more convenient place from which to enjoy the city’s lively happenings. In short, dear reader, our stay was nothing less than downright lovely. Really great location, close enough to downtown to walk to/from, right across the freeway from Franklin BBQ and up the street from Stubbs, easy access to anywhere you need to drive to as well. The room itself was a little run-down (broken light switch, curtain was a little janky, AC had to run overtime to keep things cool) but the people were very nice. It ain’t the 4 Seasons but it’s a solid spot if you’re looking for a jumping-off place for Austin adventures.

Our stay at the Downright hotel was outstanding! From the moment we arrived, Nick provided exceptionally friendly and professional service at both check-in and check-out, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. We were also so impressed by the warm and gracious welcome from the General Manager to our teacher association attending the conference—such a thoughtful touch that did not go unnoticed.
